H.G. Bishop Biemen, Bishop of Naqada and Qus, added a third floor and consecrated the altars of the church.

There are 7 altars in the church in the name of:

St. Mary

Archangel Michael

St. Abanoub Al-Nahisy

St. George the Roman

St. George the Alexandrian

St. George El-Mozahem

St.  Philopateer Mercurious (Abu Sefein)

One of the fathers who served in this church was Fr. Matthias the Samuelite (The Thrice-Blessed H.G. Bishop Karas, General Bishop of Mahalla al-Kubra).

In addition, a three-storey service building was built to accommodate deacons’ school and nursery classes.
