A message from H.H. Pope Tawadros II to H.G. Bishop Biemen for the 31st ordination anniversary

His Holiness Pope Tawadros II 

His Holiness Pope Tawadros II was born Wagih Sobhy Baky Soliman on November 4th, 1952, in Mansoura. His father was an irrigation engineer and his family moved around during his childhood from Mansoura to Sohag and then to Damanhour.

H.G. Bishop Biemen

H.G. Bishop Biemen was born Gaballah which means “God’s gift,” on December 19, 1959, at El-Hawatka Island, Manfalut city, Assiut Governorate.  He received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1982 from Assiut University. 

Qus City

Today the city of Qus is considered a major center of Qena Governorate.  It is located next to the city of Qift on the eastern bank of the Nile, about 645 km south of Cairo, and 38 km north of Luxor Governorate.  Opposite Qus on the western side of the Nile is the city of Naqada. 

Naqada City 

The name “Naqada” is driven from the word “Nakudi” which describes people standing fast in the faith.  Naqada is ancient and has been known from the Predynastic Era until modern times and it belongs to Qena Governorate and is located about 30km southward of Qena city, 25 km northward of Luxor, and 640 km away from Cairo.
